Links.
Privacy Policy.
Effective September 17, 2026 · Applies to the Links Golf Network website (joinlinks.golf / linkedgolf.org) and the Links iOS app.
Links is a private, membership-based golf and business-networking league operated by Links Networking International, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("Links," "we," "us"), in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@linkedgolf.org.
Information we collect
- Profile information you provide — name, email address, phone number, industry, company, title, bio, profile photo, and optional golf details (handicap index, GHIN number, favorite course).
- League activity — rounds you join, foursome pairings, referrals you give or request (including the names and context you enter), and leaderboard standings.
- Optional payment handles — a Venmo handle or Cash App $cashtag you choose to share with other members for splitting cart fees, food, and bets.
- Payment information — dues, initiation, and event fees are processed by Stripe, which collects your card details directly. We never see or store your full card number.
- Device and session data — auth tokens stored on your device to keep you signed in; app version, OS, and crash logs to keep the app running; and a push token if you enable notifications.
- From Apple (only if you use Sign in with Apple) — an identity token, your chosen display name, and your real or private-relay email.
How we use it
- To operate the league: the member directory, scheduling, foursome pairings, referral tracking, and leaderboards.
- To sign you in: we send one-time login codes by SMS (via Twilio) or email. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of non-essential texts; sign-in codes will still be sent so you can access your account.
- To generate optional AI conversation starters about your playing partners' industries and profiles, only when you request them. Member content processed by AI is not used to train third-party models.
- To notify you about rounds, referrals, dues, and league announcements.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
What other members see: Links is a private member directory. Your profile (name, photo, industry, company, bio, golf info, payment handles if provided, and leaderboard activity) is visible to other members of your league. Your email and phone number are shown only if you turn on those visibility settings in your profile.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not show ads inside the Links app or member portal, and we never share your member profile, referral, or league activity with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites — with one narrow exception on our public website, described under Advertising below.
Advertising on our public website
To let people in Colorado Springs know Links exists, we run ads on Facebook and Instagram. Our public marketing pages (joinlinks.golf / linkedgolf.org) use the Meta Pixel, a small script from Meta Platforms, Inc., that tells us whether someone who saw one of our ads visited the site, viewed the membership section, started the join form, or completed signup. Meta may receive your IP address, browser information, the pages you viewed, and — if you have a Facebook or Instagram account — may associate that visit with your Meta account and use it to measure and improve our ads. Under Colorado law this may be considered "targeted advertising."
- Where it runs: the public homepage and join flow only. It is not loaded in the logged-in member portal or the iOS app, except for a single confirmation event on the page you land on right after paying dues.
- Your choices: our site honors the Global Privacy Control signal — turn it on in your browser and the Meta Pixel will not load. You can also adjust what Meta does with off-Meta activity in your Facebook or Instagram Ad Preferences, or email hello@linkedgolf.org to opt out.
- What we don't send: your member profile, referrals, scores, payment details, or anything from inside the portal or app.
Analytics on our public website
To understand how people find and use our website, our public pages — the homepage and join form, the Colorado Springs league page, and this privacy page — use Google Analytics 4, a measurement service from Google LLC. It is not loaded in the logged-in member portal, the iOS app, or our emails.
- What it collects: the pages you view and the site that referred you; how far you scroll and which links off our site you click; a few steps in our join flow (starting the join form, choosing an industry seat — the industry name only — handing off to Stripe checkout, completing a demo-code signup, and tapping an App Store link); your device type and model, operating system, browser, language, and screen size; and your approximate location (country, region, and city), which Google estimates from your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Apart from the industry seat you pick, we never send Google your name, email, phone number, password, or anything else you enter in the join form.
- Cookies: Google Analytics sets two first-party cookies on our domain, _ga and _ga_<ID>, which hold a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted. They expire two years after your most recent visit unless you clear them sooner.
- Dues links: when a member opens a personal dues link from one of our emails, our server tells Google Analytics only that a dues link was opened and what happened next (for example, whether it opened checkout). No name, email, member ID, cookie, or IP address of yours is included.
- Who processes it: Google processes this data on our behalf to provide the analytics service. We have turned off Google signals, ad personalization, and Google's optional data-sharing settings for our Analytics account, and we do not use Analytics data for advertising.
- Retention: we keep user- and event-level Analytics data for 2 months, the shortest period Google Analytics offers; after that only aggregated reports (such as total visits per month) remain.
- Your choices: our site honors the Global Privacy Control signal — turn it on in your browser and Google Analytics will not load (and dues-link opens will not be recorded). You can also install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or email hello@linkedgolf.org.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of processors to run Links: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Twilio (SMS login codes), Stripe (payments), Apple (push notifications and Sign in with Apple), Kit (email announcements, if you've opted in), Netlify (website hosting), Anthropic (site concierge chat), Meta Platforms (advertising measurement on the public website only — see Advertising above), and Google (website analytics on the public website only — see Analytics above). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a sale or restructuring of Links (with notice to members).
Retention & deletion
We keep account information while your membership is active and for up to 24 months after your last activity. Transaction records are kept for 7 years to meet tax and accounting requirements; auth logs are kept for 90 days. To delete your account and personal data sooner, email hello@linkedgolf.org and we'll remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.
Your rights
You may access and correct your profile in the app at any time, request a copy of the personal information we hold, request deletion, and opt out of non-essential email (unsubscribe link) or SMS (reply STOP). Colorado residents and residents of other states with consumer privacy laws have additional rights, including the rights to know, correct, delete, and not be discriminated against for exercising them. Email hello@linkedgolf.org; we'll verify your request using the phone or email on your account and respond within the time your state requires (typically 45 days).
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, row-level security on our database, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if an incident affects your data, we'll notify you as required by law.
Children
Links is a professional networking league for adults 21 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page, note the new effective date above, and notify you by email or in-app notice.
